The FDA, Food And Drug Administration, regulates that foods can have no more than a three year expiration date so of course this is what we could have on our packages, 3 years from the date of production.  However, when Spirulina and Chlorella are properly spray dried and packaged this way they can easily last 10 years and even more. 

Spirulina and Chlorella are two of the most stable foods that can be found anywhere on the market.  They are carefully cultivated in a controlled environment. They are spray dried so that all the moisture has been removed from them.  This stabilizes these two foods since moisture is the great destroyer of foods.
